Words of the day!! Strigiform: (adj) resembling an owl; Struthiform (adj) resembling an ostrich.
From a charming site with a sorta gross name—Brain Pickings— this image is from a book called The Word Project. Said book also defines Dinomania as irrisistable urge to dance, so I had to do a little Googling to confirm Strigiform’s meaning, leading me to the awesome Twitter @strigiform, an owl rehab and rescue center in West Oxfordshire, run by Chrissie and Tom.
Thanks for the tip Kazmark!
BREAKING: My very favorite Owl-mascoted online service, Hootsuite has a big announcement today (April Fools’ Day, of all days. ahem.) with the launch of Happy Owls. Apparently they’re a little bored of how things have been going in the social media dashboard industry and are turning all their efforts to enabling the flinging of happy hooters.
Great decision, Owly!
Update: we have received notification that news of this new company strategy was distributed to Owelle in error. We have been asked to disregard. It is not within our journalistic standards or personal ethics to delete such a post. We’re like TechCrunch, bitches. :)
xo!

I can’t really comment. This is horrible.
Great label from a bottle of wine I tried to purchase at the Ben Gurion airport in Israel this week. The guy told me I couldn’t take it into the US, so I didn’t buy it, but I don’t actually think it would’ve been a problem at any time during the lengthy customs process. Next time.
Side note: trips to Israel highly recommended.
I made these clips because I love owls!!!
