A Twitter feed by Susan Orlean, chronicler of Orchid Thieves and backyard chicken farming, among other topics, alerted me to this owl in a box on Ustream that is guarding over some soon-to-become owlets. Obviously I’m biased, but this may be better (read: productivity-draining) than those Shiba Inu puppies from two summers ago.

In other news, I can’t believe I figured out how to embed Ustream code. If it doesn’t move after a minute, hit refresh, or just assume that the owl mama is having a nap.
