Spring in New York/Crafts in Chelsea
It’s spring in New York and that means there is an overwhelming sense, among locals, of omg, wtf way too much great stuff to do. From the Brooklyn Flea to the Hester Street Fair to the new Limelight Market to countless street festivals…and that’s only shopping. Add in park picnics, brunch (my destination for tomorrow, with lovelies Jess D. and Jen M.) or beers on just-opened patios or roofs, or just aimlessly wandering without bearing the bitter, awful arctic blast that is New York winter, and you feel like you have to quit your job or never sleep to do/see/buy/drink/eat/enjoy it all. What’s this all have to do with owls, you ask? Crafts in Chelsea, an Etsy-sponsored shopping event, is one of the stops I’m considering packing into my weekend of nonstop fun (relaxing, rest? …who does that?), and one of the shops participating is Owliday Inn, featuring lovely vintage-inspired jewelry, some, but not all, featuring owls.
